We’ve been French Express (record label) fans for some time now. They’ve always had the ability to attract new and interesting artists. Recently we hit their site, french-express.com, and came across Jonas Rathsman.  We’ve been amazed at how quickly his tracks were able to fit right into our playlists. After a couple days, we couldn’t remember a time without Rathsman. You heard it here, we’ve got another amazing Swedish artist.  Jonas Rathsman is the latest to come out of a country that seems to be mass producing incredible music.

‘Tobago’ has the perfect blend of deep beats and “bassy” lyrics that remind us why we loved dance music in the first place. From the hand claps and the bongos (and I think a hint of a steel drum) you’ll notice the tribal vibe that had us thinking ‘Tobago’ sounds a bit like a “dancier” SBTRKT song.
